I am looking to buy a used car from a dealer

Every site says to get a used car inspected by your mechanic. How is this possible if you are buying from a dealer. How can you take it off their lot to a mechanic.

just say you want to take it to an independent mechanic to get it checked out. They should say yes. If not look somewhere else.

You can ask to let you take it after making a deal but let them know before hand, they should let you take it with a dealer plate,as long as you have insurance and a Driver’s License

THE VEHICLE IS DELIVERED TO THE MECHANIC OF YOUR CHOICE BY THE DEALER AND LEFT THERE FOR THEM TO INSPECT IT.

I DO THIS ALL THE TIME FOR MY CUSTOMERS AND THE DEALERS THAT DO NOT WHAT TO GET THIS DONE ARE THE DEALERS THAT ARE HIDING SOMETHING.

Any good dealer will let you take it elsewhere to get checked out. If they say no for whatever reason walk away. their obiviously hiding something. They will let you take it but you usually have to put gas in it (whatever amount you use) and they may send someone with you for insurance reasons.
