your best bet is to test drive it to a mechanic that you trust. i think for a reasonable price, they will do a quick check over and let you know if the car is worth it or not.

Mismo se aplica a la transmisión. ¿Se aceite / fluido de transmisión cambiado dentro de las especificaciones? Frenos? bueno malo justo? Interior? justo? pobres? Usted puede decir mucho desde el interior del vehículo, incluso si el propietario lavado y limpiado. Busque en las plazas / trunk tirar hasta cubrir más de neumático de repuesto, buscar fugas o exceso de suciedad.

la pregunta clave que debe pedir es de un buen amigo que sabe realmente los coches …. pedirles que le ayudará con la selección! No crea nada un automóvil usado vendedor le dice … son en él únicamente para comprobar la comisión, no sus intereses! Antes de firmar cualquier cosa, salir antes de la Kelly Blue Book valor en el internet … asegúrate de que tienes el coche modelo y año correctos, determinan la condición del cuerpo, interior, y conocer la milage (TRUE MILAGE). Promedio milage en un vehículo es 12.000 por año. Baja milage será de unos 6.000 por año. Evite todo lo que está por encima de la media. Y, tratar de comprar su coche de una sal de estado libre (sal utilizada en las carreteras es muy duro en el coche). Si puedes, compra tu auto en California … no sal utilizado en ese estado, y la media chico tiene muy buen coche de su coche aquí. No compre cualquier coche que se ve a una buena para ser verdad … no es cierto! Tenga mucho cuidado … el mercado está inundado de coches que pasaron por Katrina … sumergido, entonces reparado … no será capaz de confiar en los trabajos de reparación. Y no comprar cualquier coche con un título de rescate, no importa que te dice. Usted no será capaz de obtener cobertura de seguro de responsabilidad civil, salvo … no completa está disponible para un título de rescate, y usted tendrá terribles tiempo tratando de vender un vehículo de rescate con un título. One of the most important questions you should ask,be it a private party or dealer is this “can i take the vehicle to be inspected by my own tech?” (you pay the inspection fee and you need the owners permission).
Should they say “no”,,run,,run fast.
(you usually wont get a straight answer from a private party)

Don’t bother asking any questions. Since you are new to buying cars, the answers won’t necessarily mean much anyway. Here’s what you SHOULD do:
1. Run a CarFax report on the VIN number. Go to for this. It will cost a few $$$ but is very cheap insurance. If you’re buying from a dealer, ask the dealer for it. They all subscribe to CarFax and can provide one at no cost. If the dealer refuses (or says he doesn’t use CarFax for any reason) get up and leave!
2. If it passes the CarFax test, have it inspected by a mechanic. Most dealers will do this for around $100.00. Take the car to a dealer that sells that make, other than the one you’re buying from, of course. If the seller won’t allow this, walk away from the deal.
While these two steps will cost you a few dollars, they will significantly increase the chances that you’ll get a fair deal on a decent car.
